A king, a bunk, and room for a family of four or five

The Green Room is upstairs, and it is one of two rooms in the house built for a family travelling together rather than a couple travelling alone.

There is a king bed for the adults and a bunk bed for the children, which is the arrangement most parents are quietly hoping for when they scroll through a listing for a big house. Not a room with one enormous bed and a hopeful air mattress in the corner. An actual configuration.

Like every bedroom here except the flex room, it has its own private bathroom. In a house that regularly holds thirty people, that is the single feature guests bring up most often after the pool — and it is why a family in the Green Room can get four people showered and downstairs without negotiating with anyone.

Who takes this room

On a reunion week it is usually claimed by whichever family has kids too old for the bunk room and too young to be left entirely to their own devices. On a smaller booking it works just as well for two adults who want the extra beds free for luggage, which is a use we did not design for and see constantly.
