Questions before you book
How many guests can Color House sleep?
Up to 35, in 8 sleeping rooms: seven bedroom suites with their own bathrooms (six with king beds, plus the 10-bed Bunk Room) and a work/sleep room with a queen sofa sleeper and a half bath across the hall. Two extra mattresses add flexibility.
How much does it cost?
Typical nightly rates for the whole house: about $500–650 in January and February, $900–1,100 March through June, and $700–1,000 July through December (holidays run higher). Add one $650 cleaning fee and 13.65% Utah lodging tax. Pool heating is optional at $125 a day. Booking direct is about 10% less than the same dates on Airbnb.
How far ahead should we book?
On average, groups book Color House about five and a half months before their trip. If your family has dates in mind, lock the house first; flights and tee times can follow.
What are the cancellation and payment terms?
Full refund within 24 hours of booking (when you book 7 or more days out), full refund 70 or more days before check-in, 50% refund 30 to 69 days before, and no refund inside 30 days. You pay a deposit when you book, then the rest automatically, with the last payment 30 days before check-in. Booking within 30 days of your stay? It’s paid in full at booking.
Where will everyone sleep?
- Yellow Room (main floor): king, step-free shower
- Work/Sleep Room (main floor): queen sofa sleeper, half bath across the hall

- Green Room: king + full-over-full bunk + twin trundle (sleeps 7)

Getting in and getting settled
What are check-in and check-out times?
Check-in is 4 PM and check-out is 11 AM. If you’d like early check-in or late check-out, we can offer the night before or after your stay at 50% off the normal nightly rate if it’s available 7–14 days before your stay.
When do we receive the address and door code?
For security, the full address and your personal smart-lock code are sent three days before arrival. Booked guests who need the address sooner for trip planning can message us anytime.
Where does everyone park?
Four cars fit in the garage and driveway. Ample street parking is available, and there’s an overflow lot at the edge of the complex for large vehicles and trailers.
Pool, hot tub & backyard
The part everyone asks about
Is the pool heated?
Pool heating is optional at $125 a day, recommended October through March. Give us at least 24 hours’ notice and it will be 85°F when you arrive.
Is the hot tub extra?
No. The hot tub is always available, heated to 103°F, and always included.
How deep is the pool?
8 feet at the deep end, sloping from about 3 feet, with a shallow shelf for little swimmers.
Do the slide and waterfall run all year?
They’re winterized mid-November through February to protect the pipes. The pool and hot tub stay open year-round.

What do you have for babies and little kids?
Two pack ’n plays (sheets included), a high chair, step stools, kid dishes, two child life vests and a shallow pool shelf.
Is there a bedroom for grandparents who can’t do stairs?
Yes. The Yellow Room is on the main floor with a king bed, a step-free shower with grab bars and porch access.
Is there a gym?
Guests have access to the community clubhouse fitness center, plus its pools, splash pad and pickleball courts (paddles provided).

The small stuff
Can we ship packages to the house before we arrive?
There’s no mailbox at the property and we can’t securely receive pre-arrival packages. During your stay, deliveries arrive at the door, and the Hurricane post office is minutes away.
Are pets allowed?
No pets are allowed at Color House, including emotional support animals.
How far is Zion? Sand Hollow?
Sand Hollow State Park is 5 minutes away. Zion’s entrance gate is 29 miles, 30–45 minutes depending on traffic. St. George Regional Airport is about 30 minutes.
Can we host a wedding or party?
No large events. The house is for the group staying here.
